See the difference REAL mushrooms make with this veterinary formulated blend of seven organic mushrooms.

Mushrooms have a special affinity for the immune system, making them the natural choice for dogs needing immune support. Seven 'Shrooms is veterinary formulated to help your dog get the most success from our 7 organic mushroom blend:

Turkey Tail
Turkey Tail contains two important immune modulating polysaccharides (beta-glucans): PSK and PSP. These give turkey tail its immune balancing benefits. Turkey tail can also support liver function and gut health.

Chaga
Chaga is rich in beta-glucans and can support heart, intestinal and liver health. Chaga is also rich in polyphenols, plant-based antioxidants that reduce free radical damage.

Cordyceps
Cordyceps are full of polysaccharides and can help control cytokines. Along with turkey tail, Cordyceps also contains ergosterol, an antioxidant compound. Cordyceps can help support healthy skin, liver and kidneys.

Phellinus
Research shows Phellinus is a potent, immune-enhancing mushroom. Rich in beta-glucans and proteoglycns (PGs), phellinus supports cells and the normal detoxification processes in animals.

Maitake
Maitake is rich in beta-glucans and D-fraction, which have been extensively researched as potent immune system enhancers.

Reishi
Rieshi is the king of mushrooms. It's rich in triterpenoids, ganoderic acid and antioxidants, giving it an anti-inflammatory and antihistamine action. The multiple immune benefits is why the reishi mushroom is called the "mushroom of immortality".

Shiitake
Shiitake is rich in beta-glucans, lentinan (which can support the heart and immune system), enzymes including amylase, amino acids and minerals (including zinc). Shiitake has been shown to support the immune system, help with digestion and urinary health and a normal allergic response.

Each mushroom in Seven 'Shrooms is specifically chosen to help balance your dog’s immune system. Our mushrooms are double extracted, which means both the beneficial beta-glucans and the triterpenoids are bioavailable and ready to help support your dog's immune system.

Every mushroom in Seven 'Shrooms is grown on real wood in greenhouses. Most mushroom products are mycelium or myceliated grain. Mushrooms are expensive to grow on their natural substrate, so most mushroom manufacturers grow just the mycelium in bags of oats, sorghum or other grains. The whole mature mushroom (which is the source of beta-glucans and other active ingredients) is never used and the resulting "mushroom" product is basically a bag of grains with some mycelium.

The FDA doesn't permit mycelium products to say "mushroom" on the label because mycelium is lacking in key properties. But this still happens ... or the manufacturer might add a small amount of fruiting body so they can call the product mushroom.

How can you tell the difference between real, whole mushrooms and mycelium?

Ask for the beta-glucan content. Seven 'Shrooms is third party tested for its beta-glucan content so you can feel confident that your dog gets the mushroom benefits he deserves:

How do you choose mushrooms for your dog?

Look for mushrooms with the highest beta-glucan content - that's the active ingredient you need. Some mushroom species naturally contain less beta-glucan content than others and may have other immune-boosting benefits like terpenes, antioxidants and polysaccharides. You also want to look for a blend of different mushrooms ... when they’re combined they work synergistically. And don't forget - real, whole mushroom products carry the best benefits.

What is Mycelium?

Mycelium is essentially the “roots” of the mushroom. Mycelium "mushroom" products are cheap to grow because there's very little mushroom and a lot of starch like oats or sorghum. Whole mushrooms are a better choice because:

1. Real mushrooms contain more beta-gluten

2. Real mushrooms are naturally low in starch

3. Our mushrooms are grown on wood, not grains, so your dog will also benefit from the soil-based goodness and minerals.

Does Seven 'Shrooms contain the fruiting body?

Of course! Seven 'Shrooms contains every part of the mushroom, including the fruiting body. The mushrooms are double extracted so your dog gets the most benefit from them.

What is the beta-glucan content of Seven 'Shrooms?

A whole jar of Seven 'Shrooms averages 34.6% beta-glucans.

Beta-glucans are the active, immune-stimulating compound found in mushrooms. Each mushroom has varying amounts of naturally occurring beta-glucans, but we 3rd party test our mushrooms to make sure they have the highest beta-glucan content.

Here’s the total beta-glucan content of each mushroom in Seven 'Shrooms:

• Chaga - 16%
• Cordyceps - 27%
• Maitake - 36%
• Phellinus - 23%
• Reishi - 47%
• Shiitake - 32%
• Turkey Tail - 53%

Turkey Tail contains more immune-boosting beta-glucans than any other mushroom. That’s why we recommend Turkey Tail and Seven 'Shrooms be given together for dogs with significant immune challenges.

Can't I just give my dog mushrooms from the grocery store?

Yes … but with a few qualifiers. Mushrooms from the grocery store are nutritious but they're not high in beta-glucans. If you give your dog grocery store mushrooms, always give them cooked. Raw mushrooms can cause significant digestive upset in dogs.

Are your mushrooms raw?

The beneficial parts of the mushrooms are “locked” in the chitin cell walls of the mushroom’s fruiting body which makes it hard for dogs and people to process. That’s why we double extract our mushrooms. First, they’re extracted with alcohol and then with water. Don’t worry, they’re not high in alcohol, it gets steamed out. This is the way mushrooms have been processed in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years.

Where are your mushrooms grown?

Our mushrooms are grown on wood, the way nature intended. We source our mushrooms from China, which is the only place you can source the entire mushroom. They’re grown in the mountains 300 miles from the closest city and with filtered air. They are tested for pesticides and heavy metals before they even leave China and again once they arrive in the US.

What's the difference between Seven 'Shrooms and Turkey Tail?

Seven 'Shrooms is an organic blend of 7 types of mushrooms that are researched for their benefits and work synergistically. They have high beta-glucan content and other immune-enhancing properties. For dogs with severe immune challenges, Turkey Tail is the ideal addition to Seven 'Shrooms. Research* in dogs shows that the polysaccharides in turkey tail extended survival time in dogs with hemangiosarcoma without additional treatment.
