Gator has struggled with both food and seasonal allergies & after the usual trial & error… Cytopoint injections, RX diet, antibiotics for breakthrough skin flare ups of had enough. Not only did he suffer with an autoimmune disease (MMM) believed to be caused by the allergy shots, but now I was going to be overly cautious about what I was giving him. I wanted to try and handle his allergies more organically, if possible. After lots of reading and research it seemed that it so started in the gut and the BEST probiotic for a yeasty allergy ridden guy was S. Boulardii. Long story short, I started him on the probiotic for a few weeks then make other changes with other supplements (chia, flax, turmeric) started feeding a cold protein (rabbit) and adding sardines and mackerel in once weekly. He has never ever been better! Our vet is shocked! His coat has grown in full, stopped licking his feet, no more redness. I’ve been using S Boulardii for my 80lb lab/Shepard for almost 2 months now along with gut guard. He has had loose poops snd at times threw up bile since I adopted him at 10 weeks. I switched foods many times and of course the vet just wanted to keep putting him on antibiotics, which I am sure is the cause of his gut issues now. So I decided to try probiotics. It’s been about 6 months of continuous use and I have seen improvement. I also split his meals into 4 servings and feed him 4 times a day. He seems to digest smaller amounts than f food much better. He still has a grumbly tummy at times, but his other issues seem to be far and few between. I just wish now that he would gain a few pounds. But I think that all of the products I’ve tried from Four Leaf Rover has been working great so far. I know it may take a few more months, and that’s okay as long as my Bodi keeps getting better!! Will keep using the gut guard and s boulardii for another month then will switch to protect as suggested. Thank you Four Leaf Rover for helping all the fur babies out there to live healthier lives!!
