Is Red Rover high in sugar?
In short, the answer is no. Fruit, in general, has a very low Glycemic load. Berries are low in sugar and while apples contain sugar, a lot of that sugar comes from fructose. Fructose in apples has little effect on blood sugar levels.
Is it okay if there are lumps in Red Rover?
Yes, it's ok. We don't use synthetic de-clumping agents, so from time to time you may see lumps. Go ahead and break those lumps up yourself. It does not inhibit the quality of the product. We put a desiccant pack, in high heat or high humidity just break up the lumps. It does not affect the quality or freshness at all.
Does Red Rover contain Quercetin?
Yes! Quercetin is a beneficial polyphenol. And that good stuff comes from apple skins. Every jar of Red Rover includes a healthy helping of apple skins. Research has shown that Quercetin can essentially “stop" histamine production and suppress, or moderate, inflammation. This is why you might have heard people refer to Quercetin as “Nature’s Benadryl”.
Why are there Apples in Red Rover?
Apples are very good prebiotics. And apple skins are rich in quercetin.
Can I give Red Rover in place of fresh fruits?
Red Rover was designed to affordably replace fresh fruits to feed your dog at mealtime. Organic fruits can be expensive! Our freeze-dried organic fruits are a cost-effective and convenient way to make sure your dog gets a healthy serving of fruit daily.
Why does my dog need fruits and berries?
Fruits and berries contain phytochemicals called polyphenols. Studies show polyphenols can help balance the gut and immune system and prevent and manage chronic diseases. Polyphenols are only found in plants especially berries and cruciferous vegetables. That’s why Red Rover pairs well with Green Rover, which is a rich source of the anti-inflammatory polyphenol sulforaphane.
Is your Astaxanthin synthetic?
Nope. Natural astaxanthin has 90X the antioxidant activity compared to synthetic astaxanthin. Our astaxanthin is 100% natural. It’s derived from algae in Chile’s Atacama Desert.
What is Astaxanthin?
Our 100% natural astaxanthin is made from Haematoccus pluvialis and grown in a pristine desert environment. In conjunction with the highest solar irradiance on Earth, the algae are able to produce pure, high-quality astaxanthin which is then extracted via energy-efficient, environmentally friendly CO2 extraction.
