Dana is the founder &amp; CEO of Dogs Naturally. She's always on a mission to find the highest quality products for her own dogs. Here's a list of natural products hand picked by Dana herself!

Four Leaf Rover’s CBD Oil is full spectrum organic hemp with a wide range of healthy cannabinoids. Grown and made in the US. Benefits CBD interacts with your dog’s endocannabinoid system—a network of receptors that helps maintain balance in the body. Our full-spectrum hemp oil delivers a blend of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids to support daily comfort and vitality. Joint and Muscle Comfort Active dogs rely on healthy joints and muscles for play and movement. Harsh synthetic compounds may disrupt natural bodily processes, but hemp-derived CBD offers a gentler approach. Studies suggest cannabinoids like CBD and CBG may interact with receptors involved in discomfort signaling, promoting ease of movement. Research has shown that dogs given CBD exhibited improved activity levels, highlighting its role in supporting joint flexibility and comfort during daily exercise. Calmness During Stressful Events Loud noises, separation, or changes in routine can disrupt your dog’s sense of calm. Full-spectrum CBD works with the endocannabinoid system to promote relaxation without sedation. By influencing serotonin receptors linked to mood regulation, CBD may help dogs stay composed during fireworks, travel, or unfamiliar situations. In clinical observations, pet owners reported noticeable calming effects, making CBD a popular choice for promoting emotional balance. Healthy Inflammatory Response Inflammation is the body’s natural reaction to strain or injury, but prolonged responses can impact comfort. Cannabinoids like CBD and CBC are studied for their ability to support healthy inflammatory pathways by interacting with immune system receptors. The “entourage effect” of full-spectrum hemp ensures multiple compounds work together, amplifying their supportive role in maintaining normal recovery cycles after play or exercise. Nervous System & Cellular Health Your dog’s nervous system and cells are constantly renewing to stay resilient. CBD and CBG are researched for their potential to support nerve cell function and cellular regeneration, which are vital for maintaining energy and alertness. Studies have noted positive effects on nervous system balance in dogs given CBD, underscoring its role in promoting overall vitality. Product Info Four Leaf Rover’s Full Spectrum CBD Oil contains naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids from organic hemp. This creates an "entourage effect," where compounds work together to support the endocannabinoid system’s role in maintaining balance. Why Full Spectrum Matters: Avoids isolated CBD, which lacks complementary plant compounds. Contains <0.3% THC—safe and non-intoxicating. CO2 extracted for purity, free from solvents or additives. Some cheaper products will add isolate to boost the CBD content. It's buyer beware when it comes to CBD ... so make sure you work with a company that is transparent about how their CBD is made. And always ask for a certificate of analysis (COA) and look for a wide range of cannabinoids and a small amount of THC. Ingredients Four Leaf Rover’s CBD Oil is crafted with two premium ingredients: Organic Full Spectrum Hemp OilSourced from organically grown hemp, our full-spectrum oil retains the natural harmony of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids found in the hemp plant. This includes CBD, CBC, CBG, and trace amounts of THC (always <0.3%). CBC (Cannabichromene): Research suggests CBC may work synergistically with other cannabinoids to support healthy cellular function and promote balanced inflammatory responses. CBG (Cannabigerol): Often called the "mother cannabinoid," CBG is studied for its potential role in maintaining digestive comfort, supporting nerve health, and contributing to overall vitality. Entourage Effect: Unlike CBD isolate, full-spectrum hemp leverages the combined power of all plant compounds. This synergy enhances the oil’s ability to interact with your dog’s endocannabinoid system, which regulates functions like mood, immune response, and nerve signaling. Human-Grade MCT Oil (Derived from Coconut)MCT oil acts as a carrier to optimize CBD absorption. It’s rich in medium-chain triglycerides, which are easily metabolized and provide their own wellness benefits: Digestive Support: MCT oil is gentle on the stomach and supports nutrient absorption. Energy & Vitality: Quickly converted into energy, MCT oil helps maintain your dog’s stamina without contributing to fat storage. Antioxidant Properties: Supports overall cellular health by combating free radicals. Quality Assurance CO2 Extraction: Our hemp oil is extracted using supercritical CO2, a method that preserves purity and potency without solvents like ethanol or butane. Third-Party Tested: Every batch is rigorously tested for potency, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbial contaminants. Certificates of Analysis (COAs) are publicly available. 0% Additives: No artificial flavors, colors, or fillers—just pure hemp oil and MCT. Directions Bottle Strength Serving Size CBD per Dropper 500mg 1ml daily (1 full dropper) 16.7 mg naturally occurring CBD 1000mg 1ml daily (1 full dropper) 33.3 mg naturally occurring CBD When CBD is taken orally, it can start working within 30 to 90 minutes. You can also squirt the CBD oil right into your dog's mouth if he will tolerate it. In this case, you can see results in as little as 5 to 20 minutes. More of the CBD is absorbed when given right in the mouth, so you can use a smaller dose. FAQs How Much CBD Oil Should I Give My Dog? We recommend starting with the following daily servings based on your dog’s needs: General Wellness (500mg bottle): 1 full dropper (1ml) for all dog sizes, providing 16.7mg of naturally occurring CBD. Ideal for promoting calmness or daily balance. Active Lifestyle Support (1000mg bottle): 1 full dropper (1ml) daily, delivering 33.3mg of CBD. Suitable for maintaining joint comfort, recovery after exercise, or supporting senior dogs. Pro Tip: For faster absorption, administer the oil directly into your dog’s mouth. Effects may be noticed in as little as 5–20 minutes (compared to 30–90 minutes when mixed with food). What Is CBD? CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in hemp plants, a cousin of the cannabis plant. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive compound in marijuana, CBD is non-intoxicating and safe for pets. Our CBD oil is derived from organically grown hemp, which contains less than 0.3% THC—far below the amount needed to cause any "high." CBD works with your dog’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), a network of receptors that helps regulate essential functions like mood, sleep, inflammation response, and nerve signaling. By supporting the ECS, CBD promotes balance and overall wellness without altering your dog’s mental state. Key points: Natural & Non-Intoxicating: Derived from hemp, not marijuana. Full-Spectrum Benefits: Contains CBD plus other beneficial cannabinoids (like CBC and CBG) for enhanced synergy. Holistic Support: Works with your dog’s own biology to maintain comfort, calmness, and vitality. In short, CBD is a gentle, plant-based way to help your dog thrive—naturally. Is your CBD oil full spectrum or isolate? Our CBD oil is full spectrum, meaning it contains the full range of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids naturally present in hemp. This creates the "entourage effect," where compounds work together to enhance the oil’s benefits. Unlike CBD isolate (which is stripped of other cannabinoids), full-spectrum hemp offers a holistic approach to wellness. Why is CO2 extraction important? CO2 extraction uses pressurized carbon dioxide to gently pull cannabinoids from the hemp plant. This method: Preserves Potency: Captures a broader range of cannabinoids compared to solvent-based methods. Ensures Purity: Leaves no toxic residues from chemicals like ethanol or butane. Maintains Consistency: Produces a high-quality oil batch after batch. How Does CBD Work? CBD interacts with your dog’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), a network of receptors found throughout the body. The ECS plays a key role in maintaining balance in systems like the nervous, immune, and digestive systems. By supporting the ECS, CBD may help: Promote relaxation during stressful events (e.g., thunderstorms, travel). Maintain joint and muscle comfort for active lifestyles. Support healthy inflammatory responses after exercise or play. Encourage overall vitality through cellular and nervous system health. Will CBD make my dog "high"? Absolutely not. Our full-spectrum hemp oil contains less than 0.3% THC—the federally legal limit. This trace amount is non-intoxicating but contributes to the entourage effect. Your dog will experience calmness and comfort without any psychoactive effects. How Long Does It Take For CBD To Work? One of the great benefits of CBD is how fast it works! When CBD is taken orally, it can start working within 30 to 90 minutes. You can also squirt the CBD oil right into your dog's mouth if he will tolerate it. In this case, you can see results in as little as 5 to 20 minutes. More of the CBD is absorbed when given right in the mouth, so you can use a smaller dose. Why choose Four Leaf Rover over other brands? Organic & Full Spectrum: No isolates or synthetic additives. CO2 Extracted: Safer, cleaner, and more potent than solvent-based oils. Every ingredient and piece of packaging is chosen with sustainability in mind, ensuring minimal environmental impact. FAQs Where does colostrum come from? Four Leaf Rover Bovine Colostrum is a powdered form of bovine first milk. It comes from grass-fed, pasture-raised, antibiotic-free & rBGH growth hormone-free cows, raised in a small organic dairy co-operative. How is colostrum collected? Colostrum is collected after the first 12 hours of birth and within the 36 hour timeframe when colostrum levels are the highest. Calves alone receive it during the first 12 hours, then it’s shared for collecting. Calves are not separated from their mothers during this process because the quality and quantity of the milk increase when a cow is allowed to raise her calf. How does colostrum work to help fight my dog’s allergies? Dog colostrum contains proline-rich polypeptides (PRPs), which research shows may help ease allergy symptoms by regulating immune cell activity. It also supplies immunoglobulins like IgG and IgA that support a healthy gut lining and immune response, making it a powerful tool for managing seasonal and environmental sensitivities. Can my dog take colostrum if he has a dairy or beef sensitivity? The proteins in colostrum are different than those in beef. If your dog has a beef sensitivity, he may tolerate colostrum. Unlike milk, colostrum only contains small amounts of lactose. But if your dog has a sensitivity to the proteins in dairy, check with your vet before giving colostrum. How do I give my dog colostrum? Colostrum can be given to your dog at mealtime but it’s best given at least 20 minutes before meals for better absorption. You can mix it with a small amount of spring water, organic kefir or broth. Since it’s a part of “Mother’s Milk”, most dogs are happy to eat it and enjoy the flavor. Can I use colostrum topically? Yes! Mix colostrum with some distilled water to make a paste and apply it to hot spots, irritated skin and bug bites. Is there research on the benefits of colostrum? Yes, there is plenty of research on colostrum. Here's a sample: Hurley WL, Theil PK. Perspectives on immunoglobulins in colostrum and milk. Nutrients. 2011 Apr;3(4):442-74. R. Pakkanen, J. Aalto. Growth factors and antimicrobial factors of bovine colostrum. International Dairy Journal. 1997 May;7(5):285-97. Playford RJ, Floyd DN, Macdonald CE, et al. <h2>FAQs</h2>
Where does colostrum come from?
Four Leaf Rover Bovine Colostrum is a powdered form of bovine first milk. It comes from grass-fed, pasture-raised, antibiotic-free &amp; rBGH growth hormone-free cows, raised in a small organic dairy co-operative.
Here's a sample:

Product Info Not all mushrooms for dogs are created equal. Seven Shrooms is a premium mushroom supplement for dogs, crafted with a synergistic blend of seven powerful mushroom species to naturally support immune and organ health. High in Beta-Glucans: Unlike many products that rely on mycelium, we use the entire mushroom—including the fruiting body—and rigorously third-party test every batch to ensure high levels of immune-supporting beta-glucans. Water Extracted for Potency: Hot water extraction gently releases beta-glucans from mushrooms’ tough cell walls, helping preserve these valuable polysaccharides in a concentrated, usable form. Grown Naturally: While others grow mycelium on grain, our mushrooms are cultivated on real wood in pesticide-free greenhouses, just as nature intended. Veterinarian Formulated: Each mushroom is carefully selected for its targeted support of the gut, liver, kidneys, and immune system. How to Spot Real Mushrooms Powder for Dogs: The FDA requires products labeled “mushroom” to contain meaningful beta-glucan content, and Seven Shrooms delivers. Here's the verified beta-glucan content in each of our seven mushrooms: Turkey Tail: 53% Reishi: 47% Cordyceps: 27% Maitake: 36% Phellinus: 23% Shiitake: 32% Chaga: 16% When it comes to mushroom supplements, purity, potency, and sourcing matter. Ingredients Whole, organic mushrooms. Nothing less. Organic Reishi Mushroom: Boosts immunity, fights free radicals, supports stress management. Organic Cordyceps Mushroom: Enhances energy (ATP production), improves respiratory health, supports blood sugar regulation and kidney health. Organic Maitake Mushroom: Stimulates immune system, regulates blood sugar; 33% beta-glucan content. Organic Shiitake Mushroom: Supports immune function, cardiovascular health, and overall wellness. Organic Phellinus Mushroom: Enhances immune response, provides antioxidant protection, promotes normal inflammation. Organic Chaga Mushroom: Offers strong antioxidant support, enhances immune response, supports heart health and blood sugar levels. Organic Turkey Tail Mushroom: Strengthens immune system with PSP and PSK beta-glucans, supports gut health with prebiotic effects; 50% beta-glucan content. As a Plastic Negative company, they partner with rePurpose Global to remove twice the plastic waste they generate. Every ingredient and piece of packaging is chosen with sustainability in mind, ensuring minimal environmental impact. FAQs How do you choose mushrooms for your dog? Look for mushrooms with the highest beta-glucan content - that's the active ingredient you need. Some mushroom species naturally contain less beta-glucan content than others and may have other immune-boosting benefits like terpenes, antioxidants and polysaccharides. You also want to look for a blend of different mushrooms ... when they’re combined they work synergistically. And don't forget - real, whole mushroom products carry the best benefits. What is Mycelium? Mycelium is essentially the “roots” of the mushroom. Mycelium "mushroom" products are cheap to grow because there's very little mushroom and a lot of starch like oats or sorghum. Whole mushrooms are a better choice because:1. Real mushrooms contain more beta-gluten2. Real mushrooms are naturally low in starch3. Our mushrooms are grown on wood, not grains, so your dog will also benefit from the soil-based goodness and minerals. Does Seven Shrooms contain the fruiting body? Of course! Seven Shrooms contains every part of the mushroom, including the fruiting body. The mushrooms are double extracted so your dog gets the most benefit from them. What is the beta-glucan content of Seven Shrooms? A whole jar of Seven Shrooms averages 34.6% beta-glucans.Beta-glucans are the active, immune-stimulating compound found in mushrooms. Each mushroom has varying amounts of naturally occurring beta-glucans, but we 3rd party test our mushrooms to make sure they have the highest beta-glucan content.Here’s the total beta-glucan content of each mushroom in Seven Shrooms:• Chaga - 16%• Cordyceps - 8%• Maitake - 15%• Phellinus - 23%• Reishi - 47%• Shiitake - 32%• Turkey Tail - 53%Turkey Tail contains more immune-boosting beta-glucans than any other mushroom. That’s why we recommend Turkey Tail and Seven Shrooms be given together for dogs with significant immune challenges. Can't I just give my dog mushrooms from the grocery store? Yes … but with a few qualifiers. Mushrooms from the grocery store are nutritious but they're not high in beta-glucans. If you give your dog grocery store mushrooms, always give them cooked. Raw mushrooms can cause significant digestive upset in dogs. Are your mushrooms raw? The beneficial parts of the mushrooms are “locked” in the chitin cell walls of the mushroom’s fruiting body which makes it hard for dogs and people to process. That’s why we hot water extract our mushrooms. This is the way mushrooms have been processed in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. Where are your mushrooms grown? Our mushrooms are grown on wood, the way nature intended. We source our mushrooms from China, which is the only place you can source the entire mushroom. They’re grown in the mountains 300 miles from the closest city and with filtered air. They are tested for pesticides and heavy metals before they even leave China and again once they arrive in the US. What's the difference between Seven Shrooms and Turkey Tail? Seven Shrooms is an organic blend of 7 types of mushrooms that are researched for their benefits and work synergistically. They have high beta-glucan content and other immune-enhancing properties. For dogs with severe immune challenges, Turkey Tail is the ideal addition to Seven Shrooms. Research* in dogs shows that the polysaccharides in turkey tail extended survival time in dogs with hemangiosarcoma without additional treatment.*Brown DC, Reetz J. Single agent polysaccharopeptide delays metastases and improves survival in naturally occurring hemangiosarcoma. Evid Based Complement Alternat Med. 2012;2012:384301. doi:10.1155/2012/384301

Product Info Protect is an advanced probiotic for dogs made with soil-based probiotics (SBOs), and natural compounds found in healthy soils. This all-natural formula supports your dog's gut health while helping to detoxify heavy metals, pesticides, and other environmental pollutants. Unlike common probiotics, the SBOs in Protect are spore-forming organisms. They can create a protective coating that shields them from heat, stomach acid, and antibiotics, helping to deliver longer-lasting gut support. Plus, because the SBOs in Protect don’t come from dairy, they’re hypoallergenic, making them ideal for dogs with dairy sensitivities. Protect is suitable for both healthy dogs and those with digestive or immune concerns. Formulated by veterinarians, this probiotic is perfect for daily use. Detoxifies environmental toxins: With chlorella, and humic/fulvic acids, Protect helps shield your dog from everyday exposure to heavy metals, pesticides, and environmental toxins. Next-generation probiotics: Soil-based probiotics are tougher and more resilient, making them less susceptible to stomach acid and better equipped to support gut health. Antioxidant-rich support: Organic blueberries provide a natural source of antioxidants, promoting a balanced gut flora, brain health, and reducing oxidative stress. Veterinarian formulated: Developed by a holistic veterinarian to ensure your dog’s safety and well-being. As a Plastic Negative company, they partner with rePurpose Global to remove twice the plastic waste they generate. Every ingredient and piece of packaging is chosen with sustainability in mind, ensuring minimal environmental impact. FAQs Can I give Protect every day? Yes, Protect is a daily probiotic to support healthy guts. Protect has whole food prebiotics and healthy soils to help safely work towards the removal of toxic heavy metals from your dog. If you’re giving probiotics as part of a preventative health plan, you can give Protect daily. Soil-based probiotics, like Protect, are typically a better choice for everyday probiotics since they are less likely to cause small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). How should I store Protect? We recommend you keep Protect in the fridge. If not, make sure you keep it in a cool, dark place. Can I give my dog Protect if he’s on antibiotics? We’d suggest choosing Protect as a probiotic if your dog is on antibiotics. A 2018 study* found that the best probiotics to help restore your dog’s microbiome after antibiotics are Saccharomyces boulardii and soil-based probiotics (Bacillus subtiliis and Bacillus coagulans). The study also found that Lactobacillus probiotics after antibiotic use caused a delay in the microbiome’s recovery when compared to the group given no probiotics. *Suez J et al. Post-antibiotic gut mucosal microbiome reconstitution is impaired by probiotics and improved by autologous FMT. Cell. 2018 Sep 6;174(6):1406-1423.e16. Can I give Protect to my puppy? Probiotics can be useful for puppies in some cases. If your puppy was eating kibble and is being switched to raw or fresh food, then probiotics can help prevent or manage potential digestive upset. But most healthy puppies need a simple approach and it's best to focus on whole foods and solid nutrition for the best start possible. Why is there chlorella in Protect? One of chlorella’s biggest advantages is that it’s a natural detoxifier ... that’s why we’ve included it in Protect’s formulation. It’s known to bind to and remove toxins from the body. This includes heavy metals. Heavy metals are commonly found in … Pesticides and herbicides Vaccinations Processed pet food Flea, tick and heartworm preventatives Pollution Why does Protect contain fewer bacteria than other probiotics? Most probiotic strains like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium are very fragile and most don't survive the trip through the stomach ... the ones that survive only last about 24 hours before they’re eliminated from the gut. Soil-based probiotics are spore-forming. This means they can form a hard coating that protects them from heat, stomach acids and most antibiotics. It also helps them colonize in the colon where they belong, not in the small intestine. How does Protect help reduce toxins in my dog? Protect was formulated with chlorella and humic and fulvic acids which can all bind to toxins and heavy metals to help exit them from the body. Humic and fulvic acids provide excellent detoxification support for the body and help to neutralize toxins. Chlorella can bind to and remove toxins including heavy metals from your dog’s body. I think my dog has leaky gut. Should I give him Protect? If you suspect your dog has leaky gut, we would recommend Gut Guard. Gut Guard is a veterinary-formulated blend of gut soothing ingredients that can help seal leaky guts and reduce gut inflammation. Gut Guard also contains spore-forming probiotics, which form a protective shell when stressed and are more likely to survive and colonize than other species. Gut Guard also contains organic herbs and foods that help control inflammation in the digestive tract, plus natural prebiotics to help restore healthy bacteria colonies. I think my dog has Yeast. Should I give him Protect? If your dog is dealing with ear infections, itchy skin and paws, or hair loss, it could be yeast, not allergies. We have created a product trio specifically to target yeast! Check out Yeast Guard Plus. There are three important steps to help squash Candida, which include these three powerful products: Yeast Guard, Digest & Gut Guard. My dog has diarrhea. Will Protect help? Yes, Protect can help with diarrhea. Studies show that probiotics can cut the recovery time roughly in half. It’s best to continue the probiotics for a few weeks, to try and help resolve the underlying gut issues. If your dog has chronic diarrhea or a digestive disorder, a good multi-strain probiotic with gut-soothing herbs is a better choice. If Protect isn’t able to help with your dog’s diarrhea, take advantage of our 30 day money back guarantee and try Bifido For Fido instead. This multi-strain, high CFU probiotic blend can help restore normal gut and bowel function. Can I give my dog Protect if my dog has SIBO? If you suspect your dog has small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), Spore-forming (soil-based) bacteria, like those found in Protect, are a good choice. These probiotics have a protective coating that allows them to stay in their spore state until their environment is safe. This allows them to pass through the small intestine and colonize in the colon, where they belong. Does my dog need probiotics? Probiotics are live organisms that provide health benefits. These beneficial bacteria have a few key jobs in your dog’s body. They help: Digest food Produce key vitamins (including vitamin K and B vitamins) Produce serotonin and influence mood Produce enzymes Reduce the gut pH Crowd out harmful bacteria Produce fatty acids that discourage the growth of harmful bacteria Support the immune system Since 80% of the immune system is in the gut, most, if not all dogs can benefit from probiotics and prebiotics. What is Saccharomyces boulardii? Saccharomyces boulardii is a healthy yeast and not a bacterium. But it’s still considered a probiotic because it delivers benefits to the gut and immune system. S. boulardii also helps with digestive issues caused by chronic inflammation … and can alter cell signaling pathways in the immune system. Saccharomyces boulardii is used to treat acute and chronic diarrhea in humans … and a recent trial in dogs showed the same benefits. S. boulardii has also been successfully used to treat Candida and yeast. This probiotic is unique in that it can’t be killed by antibiotics … so it can be taken at the same time as antibiotic use to help protect the beneficial gut bacteria. So this friendly little yeast is a great consideration for most dogs … it’s a good addition to your dog’s probiotic.

<h2>FAQs</h2>
Can I give Protect every day?
<meta charset="utf-8">Probiotics can be useful for puppies in some cases.
Heavy metals are commonly found in …
<ul>
<li>Pesticides and herbicides
</li>
<li>Vaccinations</li>
<li>Processed pet food</li>
<li>Flea, tick and heartworm preventatives</li>
<li>Pollution </li>
</ul>
Why does Protect contain fewer bacteria than other probiotics?
<ul class="ul1">
<li class="li1">
Humic and fulvic acids provide excellent detoxification support for the body and help to neutralize toxins.
</li>
<li class="li1">
Chlorella can bind to and remove toxins including heavy metals from your dog’s body.
</li>
</ul>
I think my dog has leaky gut. Should I give him Protect?
If you suspect your dog has leaky gut, we would recommend <a href="https://thenaturaldogstore.com/products/four-leaf-rover-gut-guard" target="_blank">Gut Guard</a>.
<ul class="ul1"></ul>
I think my dog has Yeast. Should I give him Protect?
If your dog is dealing with ear infections, itchy skin and paws, or hair loss, it could be yeast, not allergies. We have created a product trio specifically to target yeast! Check out <a title="Yeast Guard Plus" href="https://thenaturaldogstore.com/products/four-leaf-rover-yeast-free-fido">Yeast Guard Plus</a>.
There are three important steps to help squash Candida, which include these three powerful products: Yeast Guard, Digest &amp; Gut Guard.
If Protect isn’t able to help with your dog’s diarrhea, take advantage of our 30 day money back guarantee and try <a title="Bifido For Fido" href="https://thenaturaldogstore.com/products/four-leaf-rover-bifido-for-fido">Bifido For Fido</a> instead.
They help:
<ul class="ul1">
<li class="li1">
Digest food</li>
<li class="li1">
Produce key vitamins (including vitamin K and B vitamins)</li>
<li class="li1">
Produce serotonin and influence mood</li>
<li class="li1">
Produce enzymes</li>
<li class="li1">
Reduce the gut pH</li>
<li class="li1">
Crowd out harmful bacteria</li>
<li class="li1">
Produce fatty acids that discourage the growth of harmful bacteria</li>
<li class="li1">
Support the immune system</li>
</ul>
Since 80% of the immune system is in the gut, most, if not all dogs can benefit from probiotics and prebiotics.

The Coriolus Versicolor or Trametes Versicolor is part of the Polyporaceae family in the Fungi kingdom. This cloud mushroom grows around the world on dead wood surfaces. Unlike other mushrooms that usually only appear in warmer seasons, the Coriolus Versicolor can survive in winter and thrives in moderate to warm temperatures. What is Turkey Tail Mushroom Good for? Turkey Tail Mushrooms offer an abundance of health benefits, according to research. From fighting immune deficiencies, supporting immune function, providing relief from oxidating stress, enriching antioxidants, and promoting beneficial bacteria in the gut, these little shrooms are indeed a wonder of nature. Why are most mushroom products not really mushrooms? Mushrooms contain a fruiting body (the part of the mushroom you’d recognize) and mycelium, the part that grows underground or inside the plant. Think of the mycelium as the roots of the mushroom. Nearly all mushroom products are mycelium, not the actual mushroom. They’re grown in a lab on sterilized grains (such as rice, sorghum or oats) and ground into a powder.If you’re buying a mycelium product, you’re not getting the beta-glucan rich content of the fruiting body. Beta-glucans are the active compounds in mushrooms. Fruiting bodies are full spectrum and also offer more vitamins and minerals. You’re not getting a real mushroom and your dog is not getting all of the health benefits. How are Four Leaf Rover mushrooms grown? Four Leaf Rover’s mushrooms are grown on wood, just as they would grow in nature. This guarantees the medicinal compounds will be in the mushrooms. They’re grown in greenhouses with a constant flow of fresh air and water, along with natural sunlight. After harvesting, every mushroom is tested for chemicals or contamination. Why are your mushrooms water extracted and not dried? Fruiting bodies require hot water extraction to break down the chitin in the cell walls. Dogs and humans lack the digestive enzyme to break down chitin, so extraction is necessary to get all the nutrients from the fruiting body. Extraction pulls out the beta-glucans. The extraction is then purified and dried into a powder with all the beneficial mushroom parts intact. How can I be sure your mushrooms are high quality? Every batch of mushrooms is checked for bacteria, heavy metals, and pesticides. The mushroom extracts are then tested for beta-glucan content to make sure the mushrooms are truly medicinal. Our mushrooms are certified organic, and free from heavy metals and pesticides. No mycelium, no grains, and no starch ever. Can I give my dog mushrooms more than once a day? If your dog doesn’t have any health challenges, once a day should be enough. But if your dog is fighting illness, you can give mushrooms twice daily.

<meta charset="utf-8">Fruiting bodies require hot water extraction to break down the chitin in the cell walls.
<meta charset="utf-8">Every batch of mushrooms is checked for bacteria, heavy metals, and pesticides.
<meta charset="utf-8">If your dog doesn’t have any health challenges, once a day should be enough. But if your dog is fighting illness, you can give mushrooms twice daily.

Outdoor Shield was built to be a product that we could trust ourselves with our animals, it doesn't use any harmful chemicals that could harm the dog or her pups. We took away all the harmful chemicals, replaced them with Lavender essential oils and natural ingredients and came up with Outdoor Shield. We always encourage talking to a vet who knows your dog's medical history, if you have any doubts. How often should you spray your dog? Every time they go outside? A good rule of thumb is if you can smell the product, you know it's working. We recommend an extra application before going on a hike in high grass or the woods.
